Day 1Lisbon
Meeting point: Lisbon Airport
Departure to Half Day Lisbon tour or to the hotel.
If you choose the Half Day Lisbon Tour, We will know the Eduardo VII Park, Av. da Liberdade and reach the “Baixa Pombalina”, downtown, ending in sumptuous “Praça do Comércio”. In Alfama we will know, one of the most typical neighborhoods and the oldest of Lisbon, not only for its architectural features of Moorish influence, but also the parochial spirit and hospitality of the people living there. The OM will make a stop at Nossa Senhora do Monte belvedere, where you will have a wonderful view of the city.
We will continue to Belém, where you will meet the beautiful MONASTERY OF S. JERÔNIMO ORDER (5th place among the Seven Wonders of Portugal) century. XVI, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983 and the biggest example of Manueline architecture, also known as “Portuguese Gothic”. Very close there is the traditional Belém PASTEL FACTORY, dated 1837.
While you admire the interior of the site, the OM will provide freshly baked pastries for all to taste.
Next, we’ll know the Belém TOWER (7th place among the Seven Wonders of Portugal) and UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. In addition, we will visit the Monument to the Discoveries, built in 1941 to honor those most responsible for the Portuguese discoveries.
Day 2The Gardunha treasures

• Hiking tour to the historic village of Castelo Novo: “The jewel of Gardunha”, with starting in Castelo Novo.
Distance: 2,60 km / Difficulty: easy / Type: circular
12h30 • Estimated time for the end of the pedestrian walk in Castelo Novo.
13h00 • Lunch in Fundão. (Included)
15h00 • Small hiking tour following a flock of sheeps/goats. “Be a shepherd for one afternoon”.
• Traditional snack with local wine, bread; local cheese.
17h00 • Return to hotel in Covilhã.
17h30 • End of daily program. • Free time.
Day 3The land of granite
09h00 • Meeting point: hotel in Covilhã. • Departure to the location of the morning program
09h45 • Guided visit with local guide to the historic town of Belmonte, included the visit of the medieval castle, Cabral Family Pantheon, Portuguese Discoveries Age Museum and Olive Oil Museum.
13h00 • Lunch in Valhelhas. (Included)
15h30 • Guided visit to the historic village of Sortelha: “The ring village”.
17h00 • Guided visit to “Quinta dos Termos” vinewards. • Wine tasting including different wines (red and white); local cheese; bread; traditional ham and sausages.
18h30 • Return to hotel in Covilhã.
19h30 • Arrival at the hotel.
